Caid has finally accepted the idea that she is a lesbian and that she is attracted to Robyn, but she doesn't think she can act on her feelings. Caid's fascination with Robyn grows each time that they appear in a show together, but she thinks the situation is hopeless until Liz proposes the idea that a lesbian storyline should be introduced into the series and the producer picks Caid and Robyn for the roles. As the women are brought together more and more, a friendship develops and Caid realizes that the relationship Robyn and Josh share has advantages for both of them, but romance isn't one of them. Caid believes she can make a life with Robyn, but complications abound. Both women are deeply in the closet to protect their careers. They have to sneak around to see each other, which isn't easy for people who are constantly being followed by the paparazzi.

I was starting to feel like I was the last person in the LesFic universe, to find out about this book. I know this book is wildly popular with some people, so I started reading with high expectations, and boy i was not disappointed. It was really wonderful.
One of the more enjoyable LesFic Romances I've read in a long time. I was surprised to find this book was written in first-person, but I'm glad it was. You feel such a connection with Caid who's headspace you are in. And you also learn to li I was starting to feel like I was the last person in the LesFic universe, to find out about this book. And you also learn to like Robyn, because of the reasons Caid actually does. It was a nice change that is not too common in LesFic romance.
Both character were likeable, especially Caid. And I loved how she stood up for herself. Yes, sometimes she was quick to anger, but she was in a more vulnerable position.
Robyn had the chance to do some serious heart-breaking and Caid fought it, instead of rolling over and taking it. On to the romance. Wow, it was impressive.
The chemistry was so intense, you could see the sparks jumping off the pages. Really well written. I also loved the little things. The little touches. Scratching ones back, rubbing circles on the others hand, little kisses on the temple. Little moves that are romantic but realistic. When you're in love with someone you want to touch them. It's not always with heat and lust, but with caring and love. I was happy to see this book covered more than just the hot and spicy moments.
I would easily recommend this to any LesFic fan, it truly was wonderful. If Lane came out with another book, I'd buy it in a second. Thanks to Pin for recommending this, you were right. And to Netty, who got my procrastinating butt in gear to finally read this View all 28 comments. For me, this is an amazing love story. And obviously completely irresistible. View all 21 comments. Perhaps not surprisingly, Cordileone narrated both books! MC Caidence Caid is just wonderful; a terrific mix of being comfortable with herself, and yet frequently insecure with herself in a budding relationship.
MC Robyn is more secure in her career, and her too-often inappropriate responses to her own fears over her growing affection for Caid makes her sometimes difficult to like. I sometimes felt badly for Caid, in that it often seemed that Robyn held all the power in their relationship, and Caid would have to settle for whatever Robyn decided. But, the attraction between the two, both physical and emotional, is so very very believable, and their individual self-doubts and mutual inability to communicate as much as they should, keeps the reader rooting for a HEA throughout the entire 15 hours of audio.
The pace of this book is just perfect! There are a few points where a less-talented author would have ended the book; I remember being very pleasantly surprised at the number of hours left in the book after a couple particular scenes! At the same time, the book never ever drags on…a credit both to the writing talent of author Lane, and the absolutely amazing narration of Cordileone. View all 18 comments. I know I'm late to the game reading this, but I finally sat down on Sat morning and didn't stop until this book was over. I loved every minute of this read, and am putting it in my favorites folder now for a future re-read : Solid 5 stars! View all 10 comments. I was pleasantly surprised by this book, mainly because I have low hopes for any books telling a lesbian love story. For starters, the author could actually write. I wasn't reading a poorly edited story with flat writing.
Her characters actually took shape and had personalities that were likable. One thing that grated my nerves? Robyn is so hot. Like she is really hot. Like for real for real? She's so I was pleasantly surprised by this book, mainly because I have low hopes for any books telling a lesbian love story. She's so hot. And tan! And her legs are so long and tan which makes her hot! And I'm about to tell you something else you didn't know Like I can't even stop starin at them legs, she's so hot, you feel me?
Caid can't even finish thoughts because she's so hot her breath catches, dayum!
And Playing the Role of Herself
First, I have to say that this was an amazing book! The only reason it took me a little longer to read was because I found it a little difficult to get into at the beginning. My favorite part of this novel is the relationship between the two main characters Caidence Harris and Robyn Ward. I found that their relationship was different then most lesbian fiction relationships.
