This is a very good book put together by Adil Salahi, that presents the scholars of the past to whom different groups today attribute themselves and their movements to.
Check it out. They had some differences, but in my opinion they were all Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'a. Those sects today who have deviated from Qur'an Sunnah in basic Aqeedah, can rectify themselves by following the paths that their predecessors were truly upon.
They respected each other. Zayd ibn Ali is the Imam whom the Zaydi shiah follow. Read this book with an open mind.
